Comment of the work of Filippo Rossi '8 December 2006 '.
The Immaculate Conception, the dogma advanced by Tiepolo, Timothy Verdon.

"... We match then the eighteenth-century masterpiece, a work of the XXI Century, a contemporary painting titled December 8 (left), by Filippo Rossi, one of the artists called the meeting in the Sistine Chapel on 21 November. Designed as a meditation painted on the day of the Immaculate Conception in 2006, the work of Rossi wants "to see" the mysterious contents of the festival: the basis on which rests the whole painting is made up of paper scattered and clogged, a sign of human weakness, prone sin. On the basis of weakness, however, comes off a white veil, ineffable and rarefied, the symbol of nature 'Other' which stands for the entire height of the picture, a sign of divine election of this woman in the perfect model for 'human creature. Beyond the initial election, "the" predestination "" Mary, there is also a time of personal acceptance of her vocation, when the angelic salutation Ave, gratia plena Maria says yes: this is symbolized painted in gold leaf from the line that descends from above, from God, he chose for his humility to his abode on earth.
The sign that the story of Mary offers to humanity is that of a perfect union of human beings with God's preservation from sin was a function of inner freedom so complete as to enable to say yes to the angel, accepting God's life itself. In Mary before and more than in others was fulfilled the promise of God, "I will pour out my spirit on all flesh" (GL3, 1), because already in her conception, then the Annunciation to Pentecost, and then Mary was purified, filled and animated by the Holy Spirit.
